The “inbetween” wheel size – 650b/27.5″ is taking the bicycling industry by storm. Bikes like the Scott Spark 700 SL are making it possible to have one, “do everything” bike.
The smaller wheels of the Spark 700 along with it’s 3 mode suspension (front and rear) makes this bike the most fun to ride AND race; bike on the market.
With 120mm of travel, the Spark 700 suspension can be switched from fully open (for descending), to trail mode (90mm of travel), to climbing mode (fully locked out) with the flick of a switch. The rear suspension design allows for just enough give when going up loose and technical climbs, with the benefit of no unwanted movement in pedal bob.
For riders moving up in wheel size from the 26″, you’ll find the 27.5″ provides a little more ease when rolling over small obstacles, while still allowing the bike to accelerate quickly out of corners. The slightly bigger wheel provides a larger tire patch to contact the ground so riders moving from a 26″ will notice increased grip and confidence when cornering as well.

When you look at the HMF frame, it’s hard to tell the difference between it and the HMX frame. The reason is simple. They come out of the same molds. So the same geometry, the same tube-shaping, the same features.
The stiffness is enhanced by smart shaping, a tapered 1 1/8” to 1 1/2” steerer, a wide and strong BB92 bottom bracket, and smart pivot placement. It climbs like a hardtail thanks to the short chainstays and rolls over rough stuff like a bike with more suspension. Realizing that different wheels result in a different ride, the 27.5” bikes come with 120mm of front and rear squish. Thanks to this, the bike will not only rock cross-country, but offer enough comfort and stability for a marathon.

Rental durations are based on calendar day to the next. A bike rented for one day is picked up and dropped off the following day based upon a flexible time - just asks. If a two day rental is selected, the bike needs to be dropped off by the end of the second day, etc. A rental "day" is one calendar day to the next. Weekly rentals include next day drop off on the 8th day by 2p. Same day rental is: Pickup and return on the same day within shop open hours.
A signed rental agreement w/guarantee will be required.
